Chicago [September 15, 2010] UFT Commercial Finance steps into marketplace to play an integral role in the deployment of a whole new line of financial products that can fill the gap left by failed securitization models.
By linking the CPC to an instrument designed to raise high volumes of capital from Qualified Institutional Buyers, UFT Commercial Finance has the opportunity to launch a far-reaching credit-linked investment structure known as "Asset Aggregations.”
Joanne Marlowe, Managing Director of UFT Commercial Finance, comments, "This is a back-to-basics approach to lending that can be applied to virtually any market segment that benefited from conventional securitizations, however, Aggregations address the issue by employing greater transparency, increased originator accountability and dynamic default management mechanisms that promise to be superior to traditional securitization practices.”
In this structure, the Enhancement CPC™ is secured by the underlying assets that are being aggregated to create a singular credit profile. Investors from the institutional markets that have an appetite for the bundled benefits of derivative products linked to securitized asset portfolios can instead look to the acquisition of Enhancement CPCs that reflect a participation interest in a diversified aggregated asset portfolio.
"The advent of this structure is logical. There are a variety of good, solid, proven debt instruments that are designed to access large pools of capital by meeting the needs of a specific group of investors with a specific appetite. The CPC was designed to bring together grass roots liquidity to create substantial pools of commercial credit," explains Marlowe. "The two together breed potential solutions to reintroduce liquidity to the faltering credit market."
The CPC is a commercial debt instrument that is governed by a Master Participation Agreement, fostering a standardized platform wherein all CPCs share common foundational terms and conditions and vary only as to the underlying credits themselves. The CPC has been engineered to nimbly respond to the changing currents in the credit marketplace.
